“I should have booked with a real airline – bad me!”
Madrid to Bangkok via Dubai. First time flying this airline but will never fly them again. The ticket was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than that of a real airline – but beware, there is a reason! This airline has ZERO customer service. You pay nearly a grand for a ticket, but McDonalds has better customer service. Emirate’s poor reputation for customer service is well deserved.
The ground staff at Madrid Airport were unbelievably rude and unhelpful. If you ever need their help – beware – they just don’t care. In the end the ticket actually cost me more money – not to mention stress and time – because for the first time in my entire life – and I fly often – I missed my flight despite arriving early, due to incompetent and rude ground staff.
They then had the nerve to charge me $335 to put me on a later flight even though it was their fault! I wrote to management about this entire ordeal and their reply was basically “sorry Charlie.” I learned that in life you get what you pay for. If you don’t mind being treated like cr%p to save a couple hundred dollars, go for it. There is no free lunch. The flights are cheap for a reason.
